Can I find decent clothes please?

I don’t remember it being this difficult to find decent maternity clothing at a reasonable price. I’ve been through 2 pregnancies and I don’t remember going through this. Sweat pants cannot be the only way to live out the next 5 months. Right now, the only thing that is working for me are my yoga pants. That’s not very attractive when going out to dinner with my family.

  1. I know what you mean about the clothes. I saw the prices and said, “Forget this!” Have you tried thrift stores or eBay? I have found some great stuff at these place. I would much rather spend say $6 then $30. Just a thought 🙂

    • Yes, I’ve recently began looking. A friend gave me some ideas on how to extend the life of some of my clothes. So, I’ve been doing that until they can’t fit anymore. Now it’s time to shop. I did purchase a belly band for $6 (compared to $20), which is doing wonders.

  2. I would really like to try a belly band. I have heard good things about them. What material is yours made out of? I read somewhere that you can make your own from T-shirts so I am asking my sons to donate some of their old ones. A bra extender I bought for under $2 is working wonders on extending the wear of my bras.

    • I bought the spandex version. Its been wonderful. When my pants could still fit… I could cover the unbuttoned portion with the band. I haven’t tried the bra extender. I don’t think it would work, only because my cup sizes changed completely.
